1. Who We Are
Human Content, Inc. ("Human Content," "we," "us," or "our") is a podcast network and creative studio. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you visit human-content.com, visit any website we operate for one of our shows, listen to or watch our podcasts, subscribe to a newsletter we manage, or otherwise interact with us.
This policy applies to human-content.com and to the websites of the podcasts in the Human Content network, which are listed at human-content.com/podcasts. Some shows in the network are owned wholly or partially by Human Content, and others are owned by our clients and partners. This policy applies to the websites and podcast hosting infrastructure that Human Content operates on their behalf.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
Contact form submissions. Your name, email address, and the content of your message.
Voicemail and listener mail submissions. Your voice recording, name, and any information you choose to share. Submissions may be played or read on air. See the disclaimer presented at the point of submission.
Newsletter subscriptions. Your email address and any information you provide at signup.
Guest and participant information. If you appear on a show, information collected in connection with your appearance, including audio and video recordings.
Event ticketing and merchandise. Handled by third party providers. See Section 4.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our websites or listen to our podcasts, certain information is collected automatically, both by us and by the third party platforms we rely on. This may include:
IP address
Device type, operating system, and browser type
User agent string
Referring URL and pages viewed
Approximate geographic location, derived from IP address
Date, time, and duration of listening or viewing
Podcast download and streaming activity
We do not control all of this collection directly. Much of it occurs through the third party platforms described in Section 4.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our websites and the platforms we use may set cookies and use similar technologies such as pixels, tags, and local storage. We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience, analyze usage, deliver personalized content, and in some cases to deliver and measure advertising.
Where a cookie preference control is available on our sites, you can use it to accept or reject non-essential cookies. By clicking “Accept All Cookies,” you agree to our use of cookies as described in this Privacy Policy. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how our sites function.

4. Third Party Platforms, Analytics, and Advertising
We rely on third party services to host, distribute, monetize, and measure our content. These services collect information directly from you under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. We share information with service providers that support our business, including website hosting and analytics providers, podcast hosting and advertising platforms, video and audio distribution platforms, social media platforms, audience measurement providers, email and newsletter platforms, recording and production tools, and learning management platforms.
Advertising and Analytics on Our Websites. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads across our websites. These tools use cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as your IP address, device and browser characteristics, pages viewed, referring URL, and timestamp. We use this to understand site traffic and to run and measure advertising campaigns that promote our shows. Google may use the information it collects in accordance with Google's own privacy policy. Under California law, this may constitute "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you would like to limit this, most browsers let you reject advertising cookies, and you may also use Google's own ad settings and opt-out tools.
5. Advertising in Our Podcasts
Advertisements in our podcasts are delivered in two ways.
Baked in advertisements are recorded directly into an episode. They are identical for every listener and involve no data collection.
Dynamically inserted advertisements are placed into ad slots at the time you download or stream an episode. Dynamic insertion is handled by Megaphone and, where inventory is filled through the Spotify Audience Network, by Spotify. These systems may use information such as IP address, approximate location, device type, and listening activity to determine which advertisement to serve. Some of our advertising is geographically targeted on this basis.
Advertising delivered through the Spotify Audience Network is an audience-based marketplace operated by Spotify. Information used to serve those advertisements is collected and processed by Spotify under Spotify's own privacy policy, not ours. Under California law, this may constitute "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can manage this through your browser settings and through Spotify's own privacy settings and ad controls.
6. How We Use Information
We use information to:
Operate, maintain, and improve our websites and shows
Distribute our podcasts and respond to inquiries
Send newsletters you have subscribed to
Understand audience size, engagement, and demographics
Provide aggregate, non identifying audience reports to show hosts, advertisers, and sponsors
Serve and measure advertising, as described in Section 5
Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not buy personal information.
Audience information we provide to hosts, sponsors, and advertisers is aggregate and de identified. For example, total impressions, general geography, and demographic breakdowns. It does not identify you individually.
7. How We Share Information
We may share information:
With the third party service providers and advertising platforms listed in Sections 4 and 5, in order to operate and monetize our business
In aggregate, non identifying form, with show hosts, sponsors, and advertisers
With professional advisors, such as legal and accounting, as needed
If required by law, subpoena, or legal process
In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
8. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting that signals a preference not to be tracked across websites. There is currently no industry standard response to this signal.
Human Content does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
9. Data Retention
We retain podcast media, recordings, and production files, and related business records for as long as reasonably necessary for business, operational, legal, security, and archival purposes. We may also retain audience and performance analytics as a record of our work and to evaluate and improve our services. Information you submit to us directly, such as contact form messages and voicemail submissions, is retained for as long as necessary to respond to you, maintain appropriate business records, and comply with our legal and contractual obligations. When our services for a client end, we may provide the client with a copy of applicable client data while retaining a copy for legitimate business, legal, compliance, security, and archival purposes, subject to applicable law.
10. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information in our custody. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's Privacy
Our podcasts, websites, and other content are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at (privacy@human-content.com) and we will delete that information.
12. Your Choices
Newsletters. You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.
Cookies. You may manage cookies through your browser settings.
Podcast advertising. Advertising delivered through Spotify's platforms is governed by Spotify's own privacy settings and controls.
Access, correction, or deletion. You may request that we review, update, or delete personal information we hold about you by contacting us at Email: privacy@human-content.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
13. Third Party Links
Our websites and show notes contain links to third party sites, including those of sponsors. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date above and post the revised policy on this page.
